These handcrafted pieces have beautiful unique characteristics and a natural feature is the varying colours, grains, textures & natural shapes. The timber used in this piece is recycled teak, making it an environmentally responsible choice that is also extremely hard wearing. Splits and cracks may develop as it responds to the environment and these are not a fault or flaw and will not compromise the construction of the piece. These pieces work as either a side table or the perfect stool to add to your indoor or outdoor setting when entertaining.

To prolong the surface of the timber please do not leave spills to sit on surfaces. Avoid contact with heat, liquid, and take care when placing abrasive objects on the timber. Direct and reflective sunlight will affect all timber as it ages beautifully in its own special way.
Teak wood has a golden honey colour when new, but after time it naturally fades into a pale grey patina. This colour change is only cosmetic and does not affect the strength of the wood. But if you prefer the golden colour there are a couple things you can do to slow down the ageing process.
We recommend ‘Semco Teak Sealer’ if you'd like to maintain the natural honey colour & protect the surface from spills and marks. This is only needed once a year in order to effectively protect teak wood from colour fade. And if later you decide to let the furniture fade naturally to grey, teak sealer treatments can simply be discontinued. After not applying sealer for a while, the wood will simply begin to age as before.
